WHAT IS A PAINTED MOSAIC?
I create my PAINTED MOSAICS by painting my canvass to look like a mosaic. I paint 'tiles' and 'grout'. When the paint is dry, I apply several layers of very shiney crystal lacquer to only the 'tiles'. By leaving the 'grout' flat, I'm able to achieve a textured look that you can actually feel! People can't resist reaching out to touch the 'tiles'.
